Jennifer Coley , Execution # 99

Under President George W. Bush's administration most states had voted for reintroducing capital punishment against crimes like murder , drug dealing, prostitution or burning the american flag .While some states like Texas and Florida still used the poison injection , others had reverted to the more classical hanging method as formerly applied to cattle thieves and train robbers . Today it was the turn of Jennifer Coley found guilty of transporting cocaine over a state border . She was awaiting her execution in the Brockton Correctional Facility for Women near Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The girl was sitting on a wooden bench in the holding cell adjusting the execution room . Her hands were cuffed in front and the legirons on her feet were chained to a ring in the bench . She was already wearing the black and white striped prison outfit exclusively used for hanging purposes.
 It was a one piece dress , buttoned in front , made of thin cotton which clearly showed all her feminine features . The use of underwear was not allowed for the condemned girls .
 
On the back of the dress  was printed in red color the figure 99 , which meant she was the 99th woman to be hanged this year in this prison . 
 

The execution was performed in the usual manner . She was brought forward upon the execution platform , her hands cuffed in the back , her feet still in legirons . The noose was passed around her neck , a black hood covered her face  then she was unceremoniously pushed off the platform . 
.She kicked her legs frantically , her suspended body swaying at the end of the rope . Some moaning sounds were to be heard from under the hood A few minutes later she lost control over her bladder , a wet yellowish stain became visible in her pants and a stream of urine trickled down her legs .

It took almost 15 minutes before she  finally got unconsciuos and hung still , her feet pointing down . Her pants were now smeared and smudged  in front and in the back with yellow and brown stains and urine still dripped off her feet and formed a little puddle on the floor . Another 5 minutes later her heart stopped  beating and although she now was clinically dead, it was required that her body remained hanging for one full hour before she was declared legally dead and duefully executed for her crimes .
